Job summary

Cummins in Grande Prairie, AB, is seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at customer sites and in the shop.

The role requires significant field service experience, Journeyman level certification, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. Base salary is commensurate with experience and includes benefits; shift is 7x7.

Qualifications

• Completes complex internal engine repairs.
• Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls.
• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components.
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Pursue ongoing development/certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
