Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Canada is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose and complete less complex engine repairs at the customer site. This position is on-site and requires strong diagnostic skills to work in challenging environments.

You will perform maintenance and repairs using diagnostic tools, maintain detailed service records, and follow Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies. A Red Seal Certification and valid driver’s license are required, with 7x7 rotational days and nights

Qualifications

• 7x7 rotational days and nights experience in heavy equipment/mining preferred.
• Red Seal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Job Summary

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
