Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking an EMT/PCP to respond to emergent and non-emergent calls in Estevan. You will assess, treat and transport patients in accordance with provincial acts and paramedic protocols.

Preference for SHA members applies per Collective Agreement. Part-time temporary position with shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) is required.
  • ITLS certification is required.
  • EMT/PCP license valid and current.
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergent and non-emergent calls for service and provide assessment, treatment and transportation of patients.
  • Coordinate with Manager or designate and follow Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations.
  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to policies and procedures.

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, or their designate, the EMT/PCP, responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service; and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Clinical Practice Protocols and established policies and procedures. \"Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement\"
