Job summary

Royal Victoria Reginal Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive care in the Emergency Department. You will work with physicians, RNs, and allied professionals to assess and treat adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold an RPN diploma, current CNO registration, CC1 within six months, and at least two years of emergency or acute care nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario with full scope.
• Two years’ experience in emergency or acute medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• CC1 (Coronary Care 1) within six months of hire and valid CNO registration.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
• Provide quality patient care within RVH policies and standards.
• Work interdependently with physicians, RNs, social work, and allied health professionals.
