Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Peterborough, Ontario. This part-time, permanent position requires current CNOC Certificate of Competence, and provides a competitive hourly wage with benefits under the PRHC union contract.

The RN will deliver autonomous nursing care, support acute care patients, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team while adhering to professional standards and best practices in emergency

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Current Emergency and/or critical care experience within last 5 years preferred.
• Coronary 1 certification required.
• TNCC/ENPC courses preferred.
• ENCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous nursing care to patients with expected and unexpected outcomes.
• Promote health and prevent illness in the ED setting.
• Practice in accordance with Ontario College of Nurses standards and guidelines.
