Job summary

Nechako Lakes School District is seeking an Elementary Education specialist for a .50 Continuing Specialist Position in Fort St. James, BC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Elementary) and valid BC teaching certificate.
• Current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare.
• Experience or training in English Language Learning (ELL) and/or English as a Second Dialect (ESD) for K-12.
• Two years of relevant experience would be an asset.
• Ability to assist students across curriculum areas at secondary levels.
• Ability to develop Annual Instructional Plans and to differentiate instruction.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility; collaborative teamwork.
• Commitment to inclusive education and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience with competency-based assessment and using technology in instruction.
