Nechako Lakes is situated on the traditional unceded territories of fourteen First Nations encompassing the Dakelh, Nedut'en and Wet'suwet'en peoples. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Elementary).
• A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with The Ministry of Education and Childcare.
• Must have a degree, specialized training, or demonstrated teaching experience in English Language Learning (ELL) and/or English as a Second Dialect (ESD) classrooms at the K-12 level.
• Two years of relevant experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at elementary grade levels.
• Ability to develop and coordinate implementation of Annual Instructional Plans.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences.
• Proven interpersonal skills and high degree of flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs.
• Understand and use a trauma-informed approach in professional practice.
• Experience and knowledge using competency-based assessment strategies.Demonstrate collaborative teamwork with various professional and paraprofessional staff.
• Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student.
• Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes for students.
