Job summary

Blackbird Security in Vancouver, BC is seeking Elite Security Guards to protect high-end sites and customers. You will patrol premises, deter theft, and respond to incidents while upholding professionalism and courtesy.

Strong communication and appearance are essential for client interaction and safety. Ideal candidates hold a valid security license and Advanced Security Training (Asset), with experience in arrests/detentions and retail security preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid security license.
• A valid Advanced Security Training Certificate (Asset).
• Experience with arrests and detentions (Asset).
• Retail security experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have your own black suit and tie.
• Willingness to attend meetings and additional training to improve skills.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Must be willing and comfortable to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Prevent shoplifter theft by establishing a strong security presence.
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons.
• Arrest and/ or detain shoplifters as required.
• Escort trespassers away from client premises.
• Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Complete incident reports for security purposes.
• Respond to emergencies and elevate to law enforcement agencies as required.
• Quickly respond to security and safety violations, property damage and alarms.

What You Will Do
