Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking temporary (1.0 FTE) full-time elementary school teachers for grades 1–6 at multiple schools in Fort McMurray. Start date is as soon as available and runs until June 28, 2027, with a closing date open until filled.

Responsibilities include identifying learning needs, planning and delivering instruction, creating a stimulating learning environment, and communicating progress to parents.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification.
• Bachelor of Education required.
• Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.

Responsibilities

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a temporary (1.0 FTE)full-time, ATA CertifiedElementary School Teachers(grades 1-6) at multiple schools with FMCSD. The positions will start as soon as possible until the end of the 2026-2027 school year; June 28 2027.

Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:

• identify students’ individual and collective learning needs
• plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
• provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
• help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• meet with parents
• evaluate and communicate student progress
• prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
• meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
• volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
• attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.
