Fort Vermilion School Division invites applications for an Elementary school teacher. This 24‑month contract position based in Fort Vermilion, Alberta involves delivering high‑quality instruction aligned with the provincial curriculum, collaborating with parents and staff, and supporting student learning and development.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a Provincial Teaching Certificate. Starting data is 2026‑08‑04 and the end date is 2028‑06‑09, with salary range $71,461 to $115,716

Responsibilities

• Attend educational conferences and workshops.
• Discuss results and students’ progress with them, their parents and school officials.
• Evaluate and document students’ progress.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Provide tutoring assistance.
• Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers.
• Assign and correct homework.
• Develop course content.
• Identify childrens' individual learning needs.
• Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness.
• Prepare, administer and correct tests.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
• Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum.
• Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field trip.

  Duties/Responsibilities/Skills: As per NOC 41221, Elementary school and kindergarten teachers, Elementary school teacher:

• Attend educational conferences and workshops
