Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow school procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, twisting, turning and climbing.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and in-services.
• Knowledge of safety and health procedures in school maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures daily or as required.
• Sweep, mop floors, vacuum carpets, and wipe surfaces as scheduled.
• Empty wastebaskets and manage waste and supplies.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and basic repairs as needed.
• Inspect playground equipment and school grounds periodically.
• Assist with energy management and ensuring heating is set appropriately for the night.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and follow procedures.
