Job summary

Parkland School Division is seeking Casual Caretakers to support daily cleaning and maintenance across the division. The role requires attention to detail to keep classrooms, hallways and common areas clean, safe and welcoming for students and staff.

Responsibilities include disinfecting surfaces, floor care, snow removal in winter, and reporting hazards. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to work flexible hours; WHMIS/First Aid assets are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• WHMIS certificate and First Aid/CPR are assets.
• Building Service Worker certificate an asset.
• 1–2 years of related custodial/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete custodial duties in classrooms and hallways.
• Disinfect desktops and major touchpoints (door handles, light switches).
• Vacuum, mop, burnish, strip and recoating of floors as needed.
• Snow removal during winter and de-icing of walkways.
• Attend safety meetings and report hazards; maintain equipment.
