Job summary

Rheinmetall Canada in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu seeks an experienced electromechanician to maintain machinery and facilities, performing preventive and corrective tasks and handling related administrative duties.

You will collaborate with the service team, respond to emergencies on a 1-in-3 rotation, use SAP and MS Office tools, and contribute to safe, reliable operations in a multi-discipline environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electromechanics and related electrical/mechanical competencies.
• Journeyman electrician license (or in progress) is required.
• At least 3 years of industrial experience.
• Versatile skills across mechanics, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office).
• Availability to respond to emergency calls 1 week out of 3.
• Knowledge of SAP software.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on machinery and the building.
• Handle maintenance planning, close work orders, and provide performance indicators.
• Assist the service manager with related tasks.

We are currently looking for a qualified electromechanician to join its general services team. In this key role, the successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of facilities and equipment by performing preventive and corrective maintenance work on machinery and the building in addition to performing certain administrative tasks. We are looking for a versatile candidate with solid industrial experience.

Here are your main responsibilities:

• Perform corrective work as well as maintenance work on machinery and the building in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.
• Perform certain administrative tasks such as maintenance planning, closing work orders, and providing performance indicators.
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the service manager.

The qualifications you should possess:

• Hold a vocational studies diploma in electromechanics.
• Hold a competence card as a journeyman electrician (license C) or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Have at least 3 years of industrial experience.
• Be comfortable carrying out work involving the following specialties: mechanics, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Be able to work using computer tools (Microsoft suite and others).
• Be available 1 week out of 3 at all times to respond to emergency calls (compensatory remuneration).
• Have knowledge of SAP.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
