Job summary

ISE Metal Inc. is hiring an Electromechanic in Sherbrooke to maintain and improve production equipment. You will interpret diagrams, perform tests, and repair electrical and mechanical systems to keep machinery running smoothly.

The role requires a diploma in electromechanics and 0–2 years of experience. Work hours are Monday to Friday with standard daytime shifts; compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electromechanics is required.
• 0–2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and basic machining knowledge are assets.
• English proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical/hydraulic/mechanical diagrams.
• Test motors, transformers, switchgear and equipment with tools.
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follow preventive maintenance program and safety rules.
• Manufacture parts for repairs using basic welding.
• Calibrate and adjust machinery; collaborate across divisions.

Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Electromechanic performs preventive maintenance and corrective work. They carry out maintenance, installation, and improvement tasks on production equipment to ensure its proper operation. They are responsible for providing electromechanical services for the machine fleet and must ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial machinery. They must respond to specific production needs and successfully complete continuous improvement projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams and schematics;
• Test and observe the electrical and mechanical condition of motors, transformers, switchgear, connection equipment, and other electrical devices using testing and measuring instruments;
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment;
• Use and follow the preventive maintenance program;
• Perform tests on electrical and mechanical equipment and their components to ensure proper operation and that repairs meet required standards;
• Manufacture parts required for machine repair or maintenance using basic welding techniques;
• Work closely with the various divisions of the company;
• Adjust and calibrate machinery;
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Skills We Are Looking For

• Diploma of Vocational Studies in Electromechanics;
• 0 to 2 years of experience in similar roles;
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems;
• Basic welding knowledge (MIG);
• Basic machining knowledge;
• English proficiency (an asset);
• Certification for operating aerial work platforms and forklifts (an asset).
