Job summary

AVL Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Drafter to create and update electrical drawings and schematics, coordinating with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

You will prepare detailed diagrams, BOMs, and layout work in SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy for manufacturing and installation. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, familiarity with SolidWorks, and the ability to read electrical drawings and Ga’s.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with SolidWorks; CAD experience is a plus.
• Experience reading Electrical Schematics and GA’s.
• Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and symbols.
• Ability to read technical documents and use Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AutoCAD Electrical drawing standards, symbol libraries, and parts catalogues.
• Under direction of Electrical Engineers and Designers, create and update electrical drawings, schematics and reports.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings for manufacturing and installation.
• In SolidWorks, under direction of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers, develop and update Electro-Mechanical Layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Job Description:

The Electro-Mechanical Drafter Creates and updates electrical drawings and schematics, prepares detailed working diagrams of Electrical equipment and installations, including dimensions, BOM, and other engineering information. The Electro-Mechanical Drafter works closely with both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers to accuracy of drawing packages.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee AutoCAD Electrical drawing standards, symbol libraries, and parts catalogues.


• Under direction of Electrical Engineers and Designers, create and update electrical drawings, schematics and reports.


• Prepare detailed electrical drawings for manufacturing and installation.


• In SolidWorks, under direction of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers, develop and update Electro-Mechanical Layouts.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD ELECTRICAL


• Knowledge of SolidWorks, experience would be an asset.


• Experience reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics and GA’s.


• Familiarity of Canadian Electrical Code would be an asset.


• Familiarity with drafting standards and symbols.


• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office.


• Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
