Job summary

AVL Manufacturing Inc. in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Drafter to create and update electrical drawings and schematics, including dimensions, BOM, and installation details.

You will collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers to ensure accuracy of drawing packages and deliverables. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, plus SolidWorks experience; you will develop electro-mechanical layouts in SolidWorks and prepare detailed

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD ELECTRICAL.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks; experience would be an asset.
• Experience reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics and GA's.
• Familiarity of Canadian Electrical Code would be an asset.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and symbols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of OHSA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AutoCAD Electrical drawing standards, symbol libraries, and parts catalogues.
• Under direction of Electrical Engineers and Designers, create and update electrical drawings, schematics and reports.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings for manufacturing and installation.
• In SolidWorks, develop and update Electro-Mechanical Layouts under direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Electro-Mechanical Drafter Creates and updates electrical drawings and schematics, and prepares detailed working diagrams of Electrical equipment and installations, including dimensions, BOM, and other engineering information. Work with both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers to accuracy of drawing packages.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee AutoCAD Electrical drawing standards, symbol libraries, and parts catalogues.
• Under direction of Electrical Engineers and Designers, create and update electrical drawings, schematics and reports.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings for manufacturing and installation.
• In SolidWorks, under direction of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers, develop and update Electro-Mechanical Layouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
