Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking local Apprentices and Journeyperson Electricians for Fort Saskatchewan, AB, to help with grounding, cable pulls, trench work and electrical installations on a major industrial project.

Applicants must hold a Journeyperson or Apprentice certificate, CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015 and fall protection/confined space training; must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety instructions on site.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice certificate required.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and fall protection training required.
• Experience on major industrial project sites preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EH&S and OH&S compliance on site.
• Support grounding work.
• Pull cables.
• Groundwork in trenches.
• Install new wiring from panels to equipment on site.
• Install conduit for regular service and explosion proof applications.
• Install and maintain heat tracing.

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Apprentices and Journeyperson Electricians for work at on our project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

What You Will Be Working On

• Ensuring safe work practices, EH&S processes, and OH&S compliance are followed on site

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• Experience on major industrial project sites
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
• Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
