The Electrical Technician will be responsible for machine wiring, panel building, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
Completion of a four or five year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or electrical technician program completion or working towards. A minimum of 3 years work experience with live electrical components in an automation material handling industry.
Manufacturing setting where there are low to moderate noise levels, dust and smoke. Duties may require the occasional use of/contact with/exposure to various hazardous materials (such as, but not limited to grease, oils, lubricants, paint, thinner, parts cleaner, etc.). Employees should have basic awareness of hazardous materials cautions. Those directly using the materials must have specific knowledge of material in use.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee periodically is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception. May at times be required to bend, twist and work under machinery or at heights using lift equipment and or ladders.
