Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly energetic and organized Electrician Journeyman/Foreman for a full-time position based in Charlottetown, PEI.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
2. Lead teams on site to achieve company objectives.
3. Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
4. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
5. Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels.
6. Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
7. Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair.
8. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
9. Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems.
10. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications:

1. Valid Red Seal Electrical License.
2. Must be able to obtain and pass Security Clearances once hired.
3. Previous experience and knowledge of control systems is an asset.
