Job summary

C.P. Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced electrician with a Journeyman Certificate to support maintenance and construction of electrical infrastructure at the CNOOC Long Lake site. Camp accommodations are provided and a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation is expected.

The role requires reading and diagnosing electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and communicating clearly with site supervisors. Valid safety certifications are mandatory to qualify.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Driver’s abstract with no more than 6 demerit points.
• Valid Electrician Journeyman Certificate.
• H2S Alive training.
• Fall Protection.
• EWP.
• RPE.
• WHMIS 2025.
• Confined space monitor and entry.
• Fire watch/spark watch.
• Gas monitor training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Diagnose condition of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Recommend best-fit solutions for electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Service and repair existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Construct new “trade” infrastructure.
• Assembly and installation of new and replacement electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Document inspections, diagnoses, maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation.
• Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
• Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
• Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.

Applicants must already hold the following certifications to be eligible for this position. If the successful candidate does not already possess these certifications, they will be required to obtain them at their own expense prior to commencing work.

General Certifications Required:

1. Valid Class 5 Driver's License -
