Job summary

CP Services Ltd, on behalf of Cenovus Christina Lake North, is seeking qualified electricians for 14 days on/14 days off camp assignments. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure, and participate in construction and installation activities with emphasis on safety and collaboration.

You will collaborate with crews at a remote site, communicate clearly, and document all inspections and repairs while adhering to company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Valid Drivers Abstract - No more than 4 demerit points
• Must hold Electrician Journeyman Certificate

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing electrical infrastructure, equipment and components.
• Diagnose condition of electrical systems and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment.
• Recommend best-fit solutions for electrical infrastructure and components.
• Service and repair electrical infrastructure and components.
• Construct new electrical infrastructure.
• Assemble and install electrical infrastructure and components.
• Communicate inspections, maintenance, recommendations and installations to supervisors and crew.
• Document inspections, diagnoses and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew to minimize disruptions.
• Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
• Maintain courteous communication at all times.

Trade / Scope Specific responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

1. Inspection of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

2. Diagnose condition of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

3. Perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

6. Construction of new “trade” infrastructure.

7. Assembly and installation of new and replacement electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

9. Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

10. Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.

11. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.

12. Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.

13. Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.

Certification & Site Access Notice

Please note the successful candidate will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test, Fit For Work Exam, Respiratory Fitness Test, Mask Fit Test, provided by C.P. Services.

Applicants must already hold the following certifications to be eligible for this position. If the successful candidate does not already possess these certifications, they will be required to obtain them at their own expense prior to commencing work.

General Certifications Required:
