Job summary

C.P. Services Ltd is seeking an experienced electrician for on-site work at the CNOOC - Long Lake site in Alberta. The role involves inspecting and diagnosing electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with supervisors and crews to ensure smooth operations.

The successful candidate will construct and install electrical infrastructure, document all work, and adhere to safety guidelines on site, with camp accommodations provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
• Driver's Abstract with no more than 6 demerit points.
• Electrician Journeyman Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing electrical infrastructure, equipment and components.
• Diagnose the condition of electrical infrastructure, equipment and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure, equipment and components.
• Recommend best-fit solutions for electrical infrastructure, equipment and components.
• Construct new trade infrastructure and install electrical systems.
• Assemble and install new and replacement electrical infrastructure and components.
• Communicate inspections, diagnoses, maintenance, recommendations, construction, service/repair, and installation.
• Document inspections, diagnoses, maintenance, recommendations, construction, service/repair, and installation.
• Follow safety guidelines, processes and procedures on site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
• Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
• Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.

Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off

Hours Per Day: 12

Accommodations: Camp accommodation provided.

Trade / Scope Specific responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

1. Inspection of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
2. Diagnose condition of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
3. Perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
4. Recommend best-fit solutions for existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components. 5. Service and repair existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
5. Construction of new "trade" infrastructure.
6. Assembly and installation of new and replacement electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
7. Communication of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
8. Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
9. Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
10. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
11. Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
12. Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.

Applicants must already hold the following certifications to be eligible for this position. If the successful candidate does not already possess these certifications, they will be required to obtain them at their own expense prior to commencing work.

General Certifications Required:

1. Valid Class 5 Driver's License -
