Job description

Join to apply for the Electrician role at Providence Health Care.

The salary range for this position is CAD $40.14/Hr.

Under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the electrician performs skilled journeyman-level tasks including installation, troubleshooting, construction, modification, repair, maintenance, and servicing of electrical systems within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
• Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Ability to interact effectively with others.
• Physical capability to perform job duties.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Daily Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting on hospital systems.

• Coordinate with departments, gather tools and materials, and interpret technical drawings.
• Estimate costs, assign tasks, and maintain inventory and records.
