Job summary

DAWCO Construction Entreprises Inc. is seeking a skilled electrician to participate in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and institutional environments.

You will work on new construction, modernization, or maintenance projects while following safety standards, plans, and specifications to ensure safe, reliable electrical infrastructure on job sites. This role requires reading and interpreting electrical plans, installing and maintaining

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and diagrams to plan installations.
  • Install, connect, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems (wiring, panels, breakers, transformers, motors).
  • Perform grounding, connections, and conduit installation in industrial or institutional settings.
  • Conduct operational and continuity tests using measuring instruments to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to the Québec Construction Code (Chapter V – Electricity) and the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Collaborate with other trades on the job site (mechanical, structural, civil engineering).
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety procedures and CNESST requirements.
  • Complete job site reports, timesheets, and any required follow-ups for the foreman or project manager.

JOB SUMMARY

The electrician participates in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and institutional environments. They work on new construction, modernization, or maintenance projects while adhering to safety standards, plans, and specifications. This position is essential to the safe and functional delivery of electrical infrastructures on job sites.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and diagrams to plan installations.

Install, connect, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems (wiring, panels, breakers, transformers, motors, etc.).

Perform grounding, connections, and conduit installation in industrial or institutional settings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid competency card issued by the CCQ – journeyperson or apprentice.

DEP in Electricity (or equivalent recognized training).
