Job summary

DCM is seeking an experienced industrial electrician to join our team in Canada. You will read and interpret complex electrical drawings and install, test, and repair wiring, panels, and control systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met. Travel and camp accommodations may apply as part of project work.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Demonstrate practical problem‑solving ability and interpret a variety of written or diagrammatic instructions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret drawings,blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determinethe layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace orrepair electrical wiring, MI EHT, SR EHT, junction boxes, end kits RTD’s,EHT controllers, and other electrical components
  • Test electrical andelectronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, andresistance
  • Maintain, repair, installand test EHT panels, transformers, controllers, and branch circuits
  • Troubleshoot, maintain andrepair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and otherrelated devices
  • Perform QC testing onexisting EHT components
  • Conduct preventive maintenanceprograms and keep maintenance records
  • May have to drive lightequipment and light vehicles
  • Inventory and material count
  • Tools and equipmentinspection
  • Gather equipment andmaterial
  • Develop and review hazardassessments
  • May have to inspectmaterials and equipment
  • Assist the electricalforeman in the completion of work
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • High degree of attentionrequired to prevent injury to self and others
  • Ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate practicalproblem-solving ability. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished inwritten, oral, diagram, or schedule form
REQUIREDCERTIFICATIONS
  • Valid Red Seal or JourneymanCertificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Shift Cycle: 14 & 7 or 14 & 14(May be is subject to change)
