Job summary

YES Nunavik is seeking an Electrician for a permanent, unionized role based in Nunavik. The position features a demanding schedule: 11 hours per day on a 4-week cycle (77 hours/week, 7 days a week) with a two-week rest period.

The ideal candidate holds a DEP in electricity, a valid electrician license (License C) and at least 5–8 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of electrical codes and ability to read schematics. Fluency in French/English is an asset.

The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks

worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance tasks according to established processes;
• Perform electrical maintenance on industrial buildings and the camp;

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold a diploma of professional studies (DEP) in electricity as well as;
• Have the electrician card License C and 8000 hours of training;
• Good knowledge of electrical codes;
• Have a minimum of 5 to 8 years experience related to the job;
• Read and interpret schematics and circuit diagrams;
• Ability to lift loads of 25 kg or less;
• Knowledge of IT Guide is an asset;
• Valid driver's license.
