Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an Electrician in Barrie, Ontario. You’ll join a team that values growth, safety and customer service, with tools provided and a fully stocked truck.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in homes, estimating repair costs, communicating with homeowners, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements. A Red Seal Electrician License and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Electrician License required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and customer requirements.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in homes, including fault-finding and panel changes.
• Estimate repair costs and communicate with homeowners clearly.
• Set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining quality work.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and installation per manufacturer specs.
• Educate customers on electrical work and Reliance products and services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and regulations.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.

• Represent Reliance in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each and every call.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including but is not limited to fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, home rewiring etc.
• Accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the homeowner
• Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
• Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform general and specific equipment inspections
• Educate customers on electrical work in homes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
• Explain the value of Reliance products, services and programs on every call
