Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking a Master Electrician in Ontario to join our team and grow with us. You will diagnose and repair residential electrical systems, estimate repair costs and communicate with homeowners, while adhering to safety rules and regulations.

Ideal candidates have a certified Electrician 309A license, OCOT registration, 5+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to professional development within a leading home-services company.

Qualifications

• Certified Electrician with 309A license and OCOT registration.
• 5+ years’ experience as an Electrician.
• Ability to work in home electrical systems and customer settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding and repairs.
• Accurately estimate repair costs and communicate value to homeowners.
• Set priorities and work assignments to meet deadlines.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, maintenance and installation per manufacturer specs.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Represent Reliance in a professional, courteous and customer service oriented manner on each and every call.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including but is not limited to fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, home rewiring etc.
• Accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the homeowner
• Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
• Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform general and specific equipment inspections
• Educate customers on electrical work in homes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
• Explain the value of Reliance products, services and programs on every call

What do you bring?

• Required to be a certified Electrician and hold the 309A License
• 5+ years’ experience as an Electrician
• Must be registered with the Ontario College of Trades
• Must have a driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
