Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to professionally service HVAC equipment and accessories, ensuring safe operation and proper customer instruction. You will help grow the business by building trust, offering additional products and services, and maintaining a strong, service-oriented customer relationship.

Candidates should have a Grade 12 or equivalent and a Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or be in progress).

Qualifications

• Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must hold Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress).
• 3–5 years of field experience servicing water heaters & HVAC equipment is preferred.
• Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must communicate clearly in written and verbal form; strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Service HVAC equipment and accessories per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Ensure safe operation of installations and instruct customers on care and maintenance.
• Build positive relationships with customers and promote additional products/services.
• Be eager to learn and grow as part of a customer-focused team.
• Maintain company vehicle and represent the brand professionally.

What will you do?

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress)
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment, would be an asset
• Must have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must have ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/ electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
