Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking a licensed electrician to diagnose and repair electrical issues in residential settings. You will join a customer-focused team and use your skills to provide safe, reliable service.

You will estimate costs, communicate with homeowners, and adhere to safety regulations while expanding knowledge of current electrical systems and energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Must hold Red Seal Electrician License and be able to work safely in residential settings.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair domestic electrical systems and common HVAC/electrical integration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic systems.
• Accurately estimate repair costs and communicate with homeowners.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and regulations.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Represent Reliance in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each and every call.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including but is not limited to fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, home rewiring etc.
• Accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the homeowner
• Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
• Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform general and specific equipment inspections
• Educate customers on electrical work in homes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
• Explain the value of Reliance products, services and programs on every call

• Must have Red Seal Electrician License
• Must have a driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position

• Experience in Refrigeration, HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanics an asset
