Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Apprentice Technician-Level 2 to join a customer-focused team. You will service and support water heaters and HVAC equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to local codes while learning advanced installation techniques.

Join a growth-minded company offering paid training, potential commissions, and a stable schedule. A valid Gas Fitter 2 license and driver’s license are required, with 3–5 years of field experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Gas Fitter 2 license and ODP.
• 3–5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Service HVAC equipment and related components per manufacturer specs and local codes.
• Ensure safe operation of new installations and properly instruct customers on care and maintenance.

What will you do?

• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
• Responsible to professionally service HVAC equipment, accessory items, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, maintenance.
• You will be responsible for being willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team.
• You will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers; offering for sale other company products, services and demonstrating your ability to communicate, problem solve, to ensure customer satisfaction.

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Gas Fitter 2 license and ODP
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment, would be an asset
• Must have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must have ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/ electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
