Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is representing a growing multidisciplinary building services firm seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Team Lead. You will establish and grow the Electrical Engineering department, provide technical leadership, and oversee projects from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 10 years in Building Engineering, P.Eng. in Ontario or eligibility, and strong leadership and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation (Ontario) or eligibility to obtain it.
• Minimum 10 years of Building Engineering consulting experience.
• Proven experience delivering electrical building systems projects from design through construction.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and lead the Electrical Engineering department.
• Provide technical leadership on electrical building systems projects.
• Lead projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Design and review electrical systems including: Power Distribution, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Emergency Power, Life Safety.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Mentor Electrical Engineers, Designers, and EITs as the team grows.
• Support business development and strengthen client relationships.
• Develop departmental standards, best practices, and processes.
• Conduct occasional site visits during construction.
