Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Team Lead Electrical Engineer in Hamilton/Waterloo/Barrie to lead and mentor a hands-on design team. You will drive technical delivery, manage client relationships, and shape the growth of a high-performing electrical group.

You will oversee project delivery, provide design oversight, and collaborate across disciplines while growing the team and advancing opportunities within healthcare, institutional, commercial, or multi-residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in building consulting engineering.
• Strong background in electrical systems design (power, lighting, emergency systems, etc.).
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple electrical design projects from concept through construction.
• Provide technical oversight and quality control for electrical designs and documentation.
• Mentor and develop junior and intermediate designers/engineers.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil teams.

About The Role

We are working with a growing building engineering consultancy seeking a Team Lead Electrical Designer / Engineer to lead and mentor a team while remaining hands-on in design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical leadership, client interaction, and helping shape the growth of a high-performing electrical group.

You’ll play a key role in project delivery, team development, and client relationships across a diverse portfolio of projects.
