Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for electrical maintenance related activities for an assigned work area. The role of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is to effectively manage and schedule his assigned work group, serving as the primary point of contact for Operations on electrical maintenance issues and collaborating with the General Supervisor Maintenance and Operations about planned maintenance activities. The position promotes a safe, healthy and injury‑free environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Excellent knowledge of Maintenance Management Processes, and fluency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience with design, selection, application and maintenance of power distribution systems such as high voltage switch gear, substations, transformers and motor control centers.
  • Knowledge and experience working on AC/DC drive systems, DCS, PLC and communication networks.
  • Controlling attendance and adherence to working hours, approving overtime hours for the assigned work group.
  • Ensuring quality of work performed by the work group and external contractors.
  • Planning and prioritizing Corrective Work Orders.
  • Process control knowledge with experience on instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Strong management skills, including setting goals and priorities, safety awareness, budget control, scheduling and employee development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a Journeymen Electrician (Red Seal).
  • 5 years of experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience supervising in a unionized environment (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong technical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills, well‑organized.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
