Job summary

Marshall Land Systems in Moncton, NB is seeking a Fitter B - Electrical to install cabling, wiring and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of a Red Seal Industrial Electrician.

You will read schematic drawings, assemble components, and use testing tools to ensure proper function. The role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn electrical codes; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Electrician in progress or eligibility preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or demonstrated capability in Marshall production facility.
• Experience with electronics and controls preferred.
• Willing to learn other international electrical codes and practices.
• Must be well organized, self-motivated and results oriented.

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Fitter B - Electrical to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Supervisor, Components and Assembly, the Fitter B - Electrical is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of Red Seal Industrial Electrician.

Your responsibilities in this role:

• Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data.
• Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Operate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing tools.
• Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Participate in the creation of job instructions, operating procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Apply if you have most of the following:

• Red Seal Industrial Electrician trade certification in progress, or eligibility to progress preferred Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, or demonstrated capability within Marshall production facility, preferred.
• Experience with electronics, and controls are preferred.
• Willing to learn other international electrical codes and practices.
• Must be well organized, self-motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner.
• Able to deal with and support change.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED, preferred.
• Able to build trust and respect among fellow team members.
• Able and willing to accept feedback and direction from Red Seal Industrial Electricians.
• Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, Outlook.
• Available to work overtime as required.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hourly range for this position is $26.44 to $31.25 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
