Job summary

Jp2g Consultants Inc. in Ottawa is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer or Technologist to join our expanding Electrical Engineering Department.

You will prepare electrical designs for new builds and renovations, coordinate with clients and design teams, and support project delivery across a variety of sectors. Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PEO) or eligible for certification with OACETT.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Level II Secret clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• ISO 9001:2015 training provided by Jp2g.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs and layouts for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, communication, public address, and grounding systems.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and internal design team members.
• Prepare technical specifications and contract documents.
• Coordinate site reviews, RFIs, and change orders.
• Attend meetings with project team and clients to obtain comments and approvals.
• Assist in proposals, including methodology, budgets, and schedules.
