Job summary

Colonial Group in Laval, Quebec seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate design, analysis, and verification of electrical systems for building projects.

You will work with engineers, designers and clients, conduct site surveys, prepare technical documentation, support construction supervision, and participate in budget estimation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• OIQ membership is required.
• 4–10+ years of relevant experience in building electrical systems.
• Fluent in French; functional to advanced English; strong communication and autonomy.

This role is ideal for someone who has the experience and interest to share knowledge, grow and develop him/herself and the team, with advance technical expertise, and lead impactful projects of varying scale, including new construction, full project lifecycle delivery, and major mandates supported by BPA’s in house experts.

Depending on interest and experience, the position offers opportunities in team leadership, people management, mentorship, or deep technical expertise.

Your main responsibilities

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• 4–10+ years of relevant experience in building electrical systems
• Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English*
• Versatility, autonomy, good communication skills

* English is essential due to participation in commercial projects outside Quebec and in national projects where all meetings and documentation are exclusively in English.
