Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team invites an MCF Engineer to contribute technical design within a collaborative, design-led practice. You will work under supervision to develop basic system designs and coordinate with multi-discipline teams on data center projects.

Minimum 3 years in the industry and an Accredited engineering degree are required, with PE/FE/EIT or similar certification preferred. Calgary and Regina locations are part of the option set, with a strong emphasis on quality and client

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience.
• PE/FE/EIT or other cert preferred.
• Datacenter experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Works with project team to prepare deliverables per client’s intent and scope of work.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
• Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables prior to QA/AC review.
• Assists with reviews of shop drawings, RFI responses, and site observation reports; attends coordination meetings.
• Participates in engineering community activities for growth.
• Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks.
• Meets utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
