Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team is advancing as a leading integrated design practice. The MCF Engineer performs technical duties under supervision, delivering basic system designs and coordinating across disciplines for data center projects.

This role opens to multiple locations with a strong emphasis on quality and professional growth. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, a P.Eng credential, and 5+ years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and hydraulic/CFD

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering practices within own discipline.
• Knowledge of design concepts, codes and standards.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and gov regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360; hydraulic modeling in Pipe-Flo and CFD tools in Fluent/6Sigma preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination with vendors and inter-discipline teams.
• Strong organization and time management for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s scope of work.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests.
• Follows QA processes and reviews deliverables prior to submission.
• Assists with shop drawings, RFIs, site reports and coordination meetings.
• Participates in professional community activities for growth.
• Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks.
• Meets utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
