Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (class of 2027 or recent graduate) to join the Project Delivery Group in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office. You will support global projects with electrical and controls design deliverables under the CA&E discipline lead.

You will gain practical experience across design, review, and site activities, with mentorship and opportunities to obtain professional designation while collaborating with diverse teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 or recent graduate in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong academic record with active involvement in activities.
• Interest in control systems, instrumentation, and power topics is a plus.
• Co-op or work experience in control/electrical design is assets.
• Familiarity with electrical design calculations and software is beneficial.
• Proficiency with Office tools like SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and with a team to deliver electrical and controls designs.
• Assist with electrical deliverables: load lists, equipment lists, schedules, take-offs.
• Learn electrical design practices and regional codes (CSA, NEC, IEC, ISA).
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver client solutions.
• Support engineers in reviews, quality checks, and site walkdowns.
