Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training to join the Project Delivery Group in our Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the CA&E discipline lead, you will support global projects and gain hands-on experience across LV, MV and HV design, control programming, and commissioning.

As a graduating student or recent graduate, you will collaborate with diverse teams, benefit from mentorship, and contribute to sustainable, safe solutions in mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 or recent Electrical Engineering graduate from an accredited university.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and electrical design fundamentals.
• Experience with electrical design software and project documentation.
• Coop or internship in electrical engineering is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Industrial electrical design for LV, MV and HV power distribution and diagrams.
• Modeling electrical systems using EasyPower/ETAP and arc flash studies.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, and construction work packages.
• Assist with on-site commissioning and power system control programming.
