Job summary

Canyon EV Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to blend traditional electrical engineering with hands-on product development for EV charging and energy management systems. You will support EV Ready Plans, review electrical designs, and help move EVEMS from prototype toward production with CSA/UL readiness.

The six-month full-time term offers exposure to consulting-style planning and hands-on hardware development in a growing clean-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with independent work ability.
• Clear written communication for technical reports; interest in EV/clean tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead EV planning and electrical capacity assessments for BC properties.
• Develop EVEMS prototype support, hardware, firmware, and testing tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors, project stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and design revisions.
• Assist with certification planning and transition to production.
