Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Waterloo, ON is seeking a Buildings Electrical CAD/Revit Technician/Technologist. You will produce electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, and organize project CAD files.

This role also offers training and collaboration with interdisciplinary engineers, with opportunities to advance skills in detailed design while mentoring newer drafters.

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical CAD tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary design teams.
• Willingness to mentor junior drafters and contribute to design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Producing electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD file database for each project.
• Contributing to project design teams and ensuring design quality.
• Ensuring alignment with project work plans and budgets.

Our team of interdisciplinary engineers works collaboratively with clients to design buildings and processes that are on track for safety, performance, and sustainability.

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Producing aspects of electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit;
• Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project;
• Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams;
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team; and ensuring that the projects' needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets;
• Training will be provided to advance your skills in areas of detailed design.
• Assist and mentor new drafters
