Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Markham, ON is seeking a Buildings Electrical CAD/Revit Technician/Technologist. You will produce electrical design drawings and help maintain CAD data for diverse projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary engineers to ensure safety, performance, and sustainability.

You will participate in design reviews, support project schedules and budgets, and receive training to advance your detailed design skills while mentoring junior drafters.

Qualifications

• Produces electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Maintains organized CAD design file databases.
• Collaborates with project design teams to meet requirements.
• Supports and mentors junior drafters.

Our team of interdisciplinary engineers works collaboratively with clients to design buildings and processes that are on track for safety, performance, and sustainability.

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Producing aspects of electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit;
• Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project;
• Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams;
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team; and ensuring that the projects' needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets;
• Training will be provided to advance your skills in areas of detailed design.
