You are a catalog champion: You can maintain and manage a reliability assurance catalog of obsolete & critical electrical equipment and develop plans for risk mitigation and improvement.
You are great at designing systems: You have experience in designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting plant electrical systems.
What you’ll do:
Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like:
Perform reliability evaluation studies on facility electrical infrastructure.
Review TA Electrical reports and generate mitigation plans.
Prepare detailed Electrical Engineering deliverables, including calculations, detail drawings, protection and controls design criteria, electrical system protection and operational philosophy, wiring and interconnection diagrams, switchgear and motor control schematics.
Design, commission, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems.
Manage and utilize NRM Programs to support Electrical System infrastructure.
Participate in organizational and company initiatives, including HAZOP, LOPA, SIL Study, & RCA.
Review & advise on electrical deliverables prepared by EPC consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all engineering activities.

What you bring:
Required
Recently completed a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university, with qualifications recognized in Canada.
Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or British Columbia.
Validdriver’s license.
Previous experience in the natural gas industry with preference for 1-5 years in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., CSA, IEEE, API, NFPA).
Preferred
Proficient in desktop tools, such as Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat.
Professional reliability certification will be an asset (CAMP, CMRP).
Familiarity with ETAP Software.
Advanced level engineering experience with Medium voltage drives system design and High/ Medium Voltage system protection.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., CSA, IEEE, API, NFPA).
