Join our Hardrock team as an Electrical Designer, where you will take on a vital role in the development of medium and low voltage electrical systems for underground hard rock mobile mining equipment. Under the guidance of the Electrical Design Supervisor, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure that the electrical systems meet performance and cost objectives. Your tasks will involve creating detailed electrical schematics, selecting components, assisting in prototype builds, and executing design validation plans.

You will be involved in innovative projects that push the boundaries of what is possible in underground mining equipment. Key Job Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional team including engineering, product management, product application and commercial teams to develop an understanding of product functionality and characteristics required for electrical system needs.
• Support Production with build issues and troubleshooting.
• Create full electrical schematics, harnesses, & panel drawings for mining mobile equipment.
• Create and execute test and validation plans for new product development and production.
• Ensure cross discipline system functionality including coordination with mechanical, hydraulic, aftermarket, production, purchasing, etc.
• Work with the customer and manufacturing to provide the specifications for production launch.
• Work closely with operations, manufacturing engineering, product support and purchasing.
• Work closely with vendors to optimize component selection.
• Provide continuous support to production team during the assembly phase of capital equipment builds.
• Provide technical support to the production team during the assembly phase of the capital equipment builds.
• Provide support to the service department to resolve design issues and commissioning issues.
• Implement and maintain electrical design and drafting standards and processes.
• Research and test new components or technology that will contribute to continuous improvement of design.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Good understanding of electrical design principles
• Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Basic knowledge of electrical components
• Problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with safety regulations
• Experience with ERP systems
