Role Description The Electrical Control Panel Assembler is a full-time on-site role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. In this position, the assembler will interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, layout components, and assemble control panels according to engineering designs and company standards. Daily tasks include mounting and wiring devices such as breakers, contactors, PLCs, relays, drives, and terminal blocks, as well as performing point-to-point wiring checks and ensuring proper labeling and documentation. The role involves conducting basic electrical tests, troubleshooting wiring issues, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to resolve assembly problems and implement design changes. The assembler is expected to maintain a safe, organized work area, follow quality procedures, and meet production timelines while supporting continuous improvement in panel building processes.

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings, with strong attention to detail in panel assembly.
  • Hands-on experience with wiring control panels, mounting electrical components, and working with tools and equipment commonly used in electrical assembly.
  • Understanding of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, AC/DC circuits, and basic troubleshooting of control wiring.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices for working in a shop environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
  • Ability to work on‑site full‑time in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area and perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and manual assembly.
  • Completion of an electrical, electronics, or industrial controls diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience; previous panel-building or industrial controls experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLC hardware, integrated drives, and panel testing procedures is considered beneficial.
