Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking an Electrical Co-op to help set up, install, repair and maintain machinery and equipment while following safety rules and Johnson Electric’s quality systems.

You will work on electrical motors, wiring, and control systems, gaining hands-on experience in a global manufacturing environment with mentorship and diverse projects across industries.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Post-Secondary education in a technical field.
• Knowledge and some previous experience with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems.
• Welding and basic machining skills are a definite asset.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an asset, however not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and other electrical components
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop
• Keep inventory of parts necessary to perform
• Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System are met.
• Other duties as required.
