Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a Millwright Co-op to perform maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of production equipment and facilities on-site.

You will assist with assembly, debugging, installation, and startup of new or modified equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls systems.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a technical diploma or degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Relevant industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with the Operations, Quality, and Engineering departments to maintain and repair facilities and production equipment.
  • Work with team members to implement new or modified production equipment as part of manufacturing projects.
  • Help ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are achieved and maintained.
  • Support the maintenance of Quality Operating Systems related to equipment maintenance in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
  • Work in compliance with Johnson Electric's Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.

Location: Mississauga, ON (On-site) Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour Vacancy Type: Co-op Position Schedule: Full-time, Day/Afternoon/Night Shifts Relocation: Not Applicable Travel: Minimal As our next Millwright Co-op, you will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of production equipment and facilities in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 system procedures. You will also support the assembly, debugging, installation, and startup of new or modified production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls systems. In addition, you will help maintain an organized and well-equipped maintenance department through effective housekeeping and project organization.
