Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON is seeking an Electrical Co-op to gain hands-on experience in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery while following safety policies. This co-op offers exposure to SPS, 5S and CI activities within a global manufacturing environment.

You will work on electrical motors, wiring, control systems and contribute to safety and quality initiatives, with varied day/evening shifts and a strong mentorship culture to develop technical and teamwork

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary education in a technical field.
• Knowledge and some previous experience with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems.
• Welding and basic machining skills are a definite asset.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an asset, however not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and other electrical components
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop
• Keep inventory of parts necessary to perform
• Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System are met.
• Other duties as required.

Join Our Team as an Electrical Co-op at Johnson Electric!

Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Day/Afternoon/Night Shifts

As our next Electrical Co-op , you will be responsible for setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment while following safety rules and regulations. Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International’s Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required.
